Hi, I'm Alison (she/her​). I'm a Naturopathic Doctor, MovNat L1 Certified Trainer (natural movement), yoga teacher​.

I like to stay that yoga and I dated for close to 25 years before we got serious. In that time, I experienced a wide variety of asana and meditation styles before finally clicking with Vinyasa.

In 2014, I completed my first yoga teacher training, finishing my second in 2018. By then, however, years of daily practice had done a number on me and I faced a hard truth: my body hurt and injury was not far behind. I wanted to understand why a practice I loved dearly might be harming me.

Diving into research helped me understand what needed to change and as I began to round out my physical movement practices with strength training and added some variety to my yoga practice, I found answers. At age 50, I now move freely and without pain.

Outside of Yoga Wild and my small naturopathic medical practice, you’ll find me hiking, paddleboarding, lifting heavy things in HIIT class, running, dancing, rock climbing, playing a fierce game of tag with my family, throwing balls for our two big Labradors, and always, playing on my yoga mat.
